Hi friends! Today we are walking you through one of our recently completed doctors’ offices. FABEN Obstetrics and Gynecology now has three office locations, with their newest office in San Marco on Riverplace Blvd.
This building used to be home to Morton’s Steak House and we share some ways we re-used their materials below in the photo tour!
COMMENT FROM THE DESIGNER:
“Being apart of the transformation from a Morton’s Steakhouse into FABEN was a lot of fun and really cool to take part in. When we opened the space up and added the skylights over the reception it was amazing to see how much of a difference was made within the space.”
Upon entering the office of FABEN OB/GYN you are greeted by a serene reception and waiting area. The cool color palette and natural looking materials put the mind at ease when in this space.
FABEN’s mantra is all about “women caring for women.” They want to make sure the women coming in the door feel relaxed no matter what reason they are visiting for. This was achieved through calming blue paint colors contrasted with warming wood tones.
The waiting room came together so well! The beautiful Patcraft carpet tile with variations of blues and greens really ground the room. We then used Stance Healthcare’s bariatric chairs covered in an ArcCom fabric to ensure the longevity of the space.
The staggered pendant lighting above the waiting room also gives character to the high ceilings above. Finally, we used a glass partition wall with a sliding door in the middle to separate the sometimes noisy waiting room from the hallway to the exam rooms for noise reduction.
The exam rooms continue the spa-like feeling throughout the back of the office and are accented with three different glass mosaic tiles at the sinks.
We wanted to make sure we remained as sustainable as possible while completing this project. We reused benches and doors from the old Morton’s Steakhouse that was here before. We recovered the benches with ArcCom fabrics and refinished the doors.
Thanks for reading and we hope you enjoyed the photo tour!
