In October 2009, Michele Brown sat down at her dining room table with a pencil and a vision. Out of both necessity and determination, she sketched the very first lines that would grow into Micamy Design Studio. Sixteen years later, that vision has evolved into a thriving, inclusive design firm rooted in collaboration, creativity, and care for people.
With more than 30 years of experience across the Interior Design and construction industry, Michele has shaped an impressive portfolio spanning Commercial, Residential, Educational, Retail, Healthcare, Institutional, and Industrial design. Her projects range from new construction to additions, renovations, adaptive reuse, and build-to-suit developments—each reflecting her meticulous attention to detail and ability to meet diverse program requirements. Michele holds a Bachelor of Science from Florida State University, is a Registered Interior Designer (ID #4055) in the State of Florida, and is a Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS), underscoring her commitment to creating timeless, functional, and human-centered environments.
Michele’s leadership has been instrumental in building a firm that values diversity in thought, experience, and background. Under her guidance, Micamy’s team is composed of professionals with wide-ranging expertise—from design-build firms and multi-disciplined architectural practices to program assessment and product representation. This depth of experience fuels Micamy’s ability to deliver exceptional results domestically and internationally, at every scale of project application.
Alongside Michele, her husband Michael Brown plays a critical role in Micamy’s success. As Director of Operations, Michael brings his own wealth of experience from both the commercial and residential sectors of the trade. His operational oversight ensures that Micamy’s projects are executed with efficiency, precision, and an unwavering commitment to quality.
Together, Michele and Michael form the foundation of Micamy’s collaborative approach.
